We do not use Plaid-derived financial data for advertising or marketing. It is used only to provide and improve Eclipse's accounting and related services.

3.2 Use of Plaid

When you choose to connect a financial account, we use Plaid Inc. ("Plaid") to securely access and transmit your financial data.

  • Plaid enables you to link your bank and other financial accounts to Eclipse.
  • By linking an account, you authorize Plaid to act on your behalf to access and transmit your personal and financial information from the relevant financial institution to us.
  • We receive information such as account identifiers, balances, and transaction data, which we use solely to provide Eclipse's services (for example, importing transactions, categorizing expenses, generating reports).
  • We do not use Plaid-provided data for purposes unrelated to our services, such as selling your data or targeted advertising.

We do not receive or store your banking login credentials. Plaid provides us with tokens that allow secure, limited access to your financial data.

3.3 Legal Requirements

We may disclose information when required by law, regulation, legal process, or court order, or when necessary to protect our rights, property, or the safety of our users or others.

3.4 Business Transfers

If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of all or a portion of our assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to this Privacy Policy or a successor policy that offers similar protections.

Data in backups will be deleted in the normal course of our backup retention cycle.
